The Jerusalem Book Award for the second year in a row was announced Thursday, and the winner of the title, David Yermack, a writer and a professor at the Hebrew University, won for his debut novel, The Green Building Retrofit.
The award was presented to Yermacks debut novel The Green building Supply, which was published in April, 2018.
In it, Yermaks main character, Shoshan, is the sole tenant in a green building supply company, which he runs with his wife and two young children.
In the novel, Shosan meets several of his employees from the company and eventually falls in love with them.
The book also tells the story of Shoshani, a young Israeli girl who dreams of becoming a doctor.
The protagonist is the protagonist of a new Israeli TV series called The Green Hospital, and he is a doctor who is tasked with treating patients with mental illness.
In The Green Supply, Yarmacks protagonist Shoshana, the daughter of a former employee of the company, is trying to find a job after losing her job.
Shoshanna is trying hard to become a doctor because she loves medicine, but she does not know what she wants to be when she grows up.
The book explores her dreams and how they may be thwarted by her father, a construction worker.
Shoshani and Shoshans family, along with the rest of her family, are struggling to make ends meet, and Shosana is left to fend for herself as a teenager.
Yarmack’s novel deals with the theme of family and its place in society.
The novel is also a meditation on the idea of family, one that is reflected in the themes of Shosani and the entire novel.
In a series of interviews with The Jerusalem Times, Yemack discussed the book, his upcoming book The Green Bank, and his relationship with his Jewish heritage.
“I’m writing the story from the perspective of a Jewish person, which is a different story,” Yemacks told the newspaper.
“In a way, I’m a Jewish immigrant.
I was born in Israel.
My parents were Jewish, and I came to the United States when I was about 13 years old.”
He added, “It was difficult for me to come to terms with this, but at the same time, I felt that it was important to tell the story.”
The story is also about the struggles and trials faced by a Jewish family who, when they were young, tried to find work in a company that did not have any Jewish employees.
They eventually found a job as a part-time employee of a company called the Green Bank.
After Shoshania is taken into care by the Jewish community, her father is unable to return to work and her mother loses her job as well.
Shosanna is in charge of her mother, who is a teacher, and her older brother, who works at a construction company.
Yarmacks said he is grateful to the Jewish people for supporting his book.
“It is important to me that we recognize and respect the story that Shoshanyan tells in The Green supply, and also to give a platform to other people like her to tell their stories,” Yermacked said.
“It is my hope that the story will serve as a model for others to follow.”
Yermack said he has received support from the Jewish Community of Greater Atlanta and Atlanta Jewish Federation.
